Category: A Note from Marty

All,

We are hosting a worship retreat for members of the Dakota Ridge Worship team and friends.  If you are interested in joining us for this time of study, rehearsal and instruction please set these dates aside and check the blog in the future for the schedule.

Our special guest Kari Campbell will be joining us from Louisiana to provide instruction, encouragement and a time of worship.

If you are interested in church worship or just need time away from your routine please join us.  We will enjoy getting to know you better and worship with you.

A love offering will be graciously accepted for the weekend’s activities so come prepared to be enriched as we discover more of what God has for us.

With Blessings,

Marty

On Sunday, February 27, we hosted the worship team from the Louisiana Master’s Commission (“XMC”) led by Kari Campbell. They led our morning worship and God really used them to bless Dakota Ridge Assembly.  We can’t thank them enough for sharing with us and ministering to us so graciously.

A prophetic word was brought by Kari during worship which I will post below for your contemplation:

“Come away with Me, My love
Come away with Me, My beloved
My freedom will open the door
My mercy is here to renew and restore
As you drink My Living Water
Let Me sing over you in peace
Let Me joy over you
Let Me dance over you
Let My Presence surround you to guide and provide you
with strength to overcome
For I am breathing newness
and I am breathing a fresh anointing
and I am bringing a season you have not seen
And it will be My glory overtaking you
It will be My glory that will be seen,
Not your works or your ministry
But fresh oil, the Balm of Gilead
Flowing to bring healing to the burdened
Living Water to the thirsty land
And you will go out with joy, I will lead you in peace
The former things will be forgotten
I am making all things new
I am making all things new
You have captured Me
You have captured My heart
I am in love with You
You have caught My eye
Now arise, and take My words of Truth to those I will give you
I have given them as an inheritance to you
The nations will fall to their knees at the sound of My name
I am breaking through the darkness
Hearts will never be the same
As you exalt Me
Exalt Me
Lift Me higher, My enemies flee
As you Exalt Me”

What an amazing message!  There is not anything here that can’t be found in scripture so this becomes another overwhelming confirmation that we are the object of God’s love and that He desires to have a relationship with us as individuals and as a church and as a community.

I am also posting (with permission) Kari’s blog which you may follow should you desire:

Additionally, I have asked Kari for her permission to post the link in Itunes to her CD where you may download one or more of her songs.  Please enjoy!

Thank you again Kari and XMC for your willingness, ministry and open heart for God’s kingdom.  We bless you with our prayers and encouragement hoping that one day soon we can once again worship together!

Greetings All!

What an amazing time of worship we had together last week!  Every week is good but last week was special for some reason.  I had mentioned during worship that in a relationship when your significant other says “I love you” you are expected to say it back otherwise the relationship is one-sided.  Worship is not any different; its one way we express our love back to God.

Its the relationship that counts most, for example would you rather have a pair of tickets to the Super Bowl or a photo copy of someone’s tickets.  Which one is more likely to get you in to see the big game?  The real tickets of course.  So it is with our relationship with Jesus.

Is your worship to God a photo copy of your spouse’s worship or your parent’s worship or your Pastor’s worship or is it your own?    When you stand before God will He say “Well done” or will he say “depart from me, I never knew you.”?  It depends on the relationship.

My prayer:  ”God, allow me the boldness to be a genuine worshiper, from me to You and back again without worrying about who is looking or what other people say.  I want to see you one day and this is how I plan on being there.”

Let’s continue to worship God with all we have!

Hi all!

Its good to be back in the Mile High City!  I hope all you are rested from the busy Christmas season and ready to keep on worshiping.  God is going to do even greater things through us this year.  I have been asking God – how I can honor him more with the resources that I already have?  I think 2011 will answer that question sooner than later.  For now, I’m choosing joy on purpose.  The joy of the Lord is our strength and I certainly need more joy.  Let His joy wash over your life as you may also be evaluating 2011.  We have great things in our future through worship and by choosing joy in every circumstance.

With JOY!

James 1:21

“Purity and victory can not be separated” Jason Upton

I’m not posting this because I’m trying to accuse everyone of  being absolutely “filthy” but think how much more God could do with us if we continuously endeavor to think, talk, act and behave with even more purity.  Victories will occur in our family, friends, at work, at home, healing, etc.  Who can predict what God will do through us?  What would worship be like with even more purity?  Making space in our life for God means clearing out those things that can potentially take His place.

Lord, help me to live with even more purity as I endeavor to make space in my life for You and Your plans through me.

I want to thank everyone for doing such a great job last Sunday.  Thanks!  You all have inspired me to press on toward the mark of the highest call.  We missed you.  Continue to be prayerful about this Sunday’s worship and message.

“If your heart takes more pleasure in reading novels, or watching TV, or going to the movies, or talking to friends, rather than just sitting alone with God and embracing Him, sharing His cares and His burdens, weeping and rejoicing with Him, then how are you going to handle forever and ever in His presence? You’d be bored to tears in heaven, if you’re not ecstatic about God now!!” — Keith Green

Howdy folks!

I want to extend my gratitude & greetings to Steve Parsons for presenting some absolutely great music in our church yesterday. Take care Steve, send our greetings to the UK!

Remember to visit Steve’s site at http://www.steveparsons.net/ and don’t forget to get a copy of his latest CD “beautiful broken world.”  Thanks again Steve!

I also want to thank Matt “Wojo” for a great summer.  We wish you well at school Matt, take care; you will be in our prayers.

God is doing some amazing things, take time to listen because He is always speaking to us.  My 7-year-old son said that prayer is more powerful at church because – God always goes to church.

Love you all,

Marty

Greetings!

I want to thank Doyle Robinson and his wife for coming to visit us last Sunday.  What an amazing message he brought!  We had an extended conversation about reaching out during worship rehearsal Sunday afternoon and what it means to care and share from your heart.  We are inspired to do more and are excited about what God has for us in the future.  My prayer:  Lord God, give me the courage to change one more time and to see beyond myself so I can show others who you are.

Check out what is happening at Sox place downtown!  http://www.soxplace.com

Luv ya,

Marty

Never give up!

Remember always to bless the Lord.  When the worst of your circumstances comes your way remember to bless the Lord.  Read it again….it does not say blame the Lord it says to BLESS the Lord.

I love the Psalm Blake read last Sunday, http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+150&version=NIV.  Praise the Lord in everything, bless His name and give thanks that you have the ability to do it freely.
